The fire at the Travelodge in Wasaga Beach is not being considered suspicious.
In a news release, the Town's Fire Chief Mike McWilliam says last Friday's fire at the hotel on Mosley Street is still under investigation but believes it was not deliberately set.
He says the fire caused about $1.5 Million in damages and is waiting to hear back from the Ontario Fire Marshall's Office.
15 people staying at the hotel were forced to leave.
Fire crews were brought in from Clearview Township and Collingwood to assist in putting out the blaze.
Volunteers from the Simcoe-Muskoka branch of the Red Cross assisted with the displaced tenants.
No one was hurt in the blaze.
