ATTACK TAKE ON COLTS AND WOLVES IN SEASON AND HOME OPENER
The Owen Sound Attack look to continue on their pre-season success with their season and home opener’s this weekend.
Heading to Barrie for a 7:30pm puck drop on Thursday night, Owen Sound will face the Colts in their first regular season match up of the 2018-19 hockey season.
The Colts won three of their five pre-season games, but were unable to match up against the Attack earlier this month, losing 6-4 to Owen Sound on September 3rd pre-season action.
Thursdays match up will be both Barrie’s Home and Season Opener. The Colts recently signed a handful of rookies, but are currently led by centreman Ryan Suzuki and Jason Willms, who scored a combined 9 points in the pre-season.
The Attack will head to the Barrie Molson Centre without Sean Durzi & Nick Suzuki. Picking up the slack will be Kevin Hancock, Aidan Dudas, Trenton Bourque and many of the recently signed rookies. In recent roster changes, overager Chase Campbell has been released from the team.
Thursday night's game will be available for fans live on 560 CFOS with Kia of Owen Sound/Terry's Trailer Service Bearadio.
Following Thursday night’s contest, the Attack will head back to Owen Sound to prepare for the team’s Home Opener on Saturday night versus the Sudbury Wolves, a 7:30pm puck drop at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
Fans at Saturday nights Home Opener will have the chance to witness first overall pick from the 2018 OHL Priority Selection Draft, Quinton Byfield in action. Byfield, Macauley Carson and David Levin combined for 25 points in the pre-season for the Wolves.
Sudbury will play their Season Opener on Friday night in Guelph at the Sleeman Centre. Owen Sound faced the Wolves in their first pre-season game of 2018, taking Sudbury down 5-3 in an exciting first game of the year.
Ahead of the Home Opener on Saturday, the Attack are hosting a FanFest outside of the Bayshore Arena, with inflatables, a beer garden and live music from 4:30PM-6:30PM. Free admission for all.
Fans can purchase tickets for Saturday night's game at the MacVicar & McComb ReMax Attack Box Office, online at www.attackhockey.com, or by calling 519-371-7452.
