Seven people are being sought by South Simcoe Police for what officers say was a distraction theft at a variety store in Cookstown.
Police say the suspects entered the store around 4:30 Sunday afternoon(Sept 9) and distracted the lone worker.
While that was occurring, one suspect went into a back room and removed about $1,000 in cash.
The two men and five women were in and out of the store in less than four minutes.
The incident was captured on surveillance cameras.
