Another challenge to the Ford government's decision to revert back to the old sex-ed curriculum.
The Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario is seeking an injunction to keep the modernized version in place and to stop the so-called government 'snitch line' where parents can complain against teachers that use lessons from the 2015 curriculum.
The union says the application looks for an injunction to force the government to keep the updated curriculum in place, including information about same-sex marriage and consent.
Union boss Sam Hammond calls the Ford government's decision 'an abuse of power.'
The government has warned there will be consequences for teachers who use the modernized version of the curriculum that was brought in by the Liberals.
