An Innisfil man has been charged with fraud, accused of scamming Ontario Works out of more than $10,000.
Investigators received a report of fraudulent activity in June regarding a social assistance recipient.
South Simcoe Police say the suspect was receiving benefits he was not entitled to between June 2016 and October of last year.
Police say this sort of fraud hurts everyone, especially people legitimately in need of social assistance.
