As summer vacation winds down, both local school boards are getting ready to re-visit a controversial issue.
The Simcoe County District School Board and the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board are holding a joint meeting on September 10 at the public board's education centre in Midhurst.
In May and June, the boards held public meetings to get input on the current education development charge policies.
As a result of the feedback received, the boards postponed their decisions.
Both boards had asked staff to look at other options other than the proposed increase in charges of 188 percent.
This joint information meeting is to update trustees of both boards on the proposed EDC by-laws.
