Gerry Marshall has resigned as Mayor of Penetanguishene and will serve as interim chief administrative officer for the Town of Wasaga Beach.
By giving up the reins as mayor, Marshall is no longer a member of Simcoe County Council or County Warden.
Marshall has inked a six month contract with Wasaga Beach.
His role as County Warden will be handled in the interim by Deputy Warden Terry Dowdall, who is Mayor of Essa Township.
