A Severn Township man returned to his Telford Line home to find the back door forced open and a quanity of jewerly, power tools and keys to recreational vehicles had been stolen.
OPP say a neighbour had seen a white pickup truck with a black grille parked behind the victim's home around 12:30 yesterday (TUE) afternoon.
The same person reported that a man had knocked on his door several times and claimed to be selling carpet cleaning services, though he could not produce any identification or a business card when asked.
At that time, the witness did not see a vehicle in the area.
The male is white, 35 to 40 years of age, 5'8″, slim build, and was wearing a red shirt and a hat.
Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the man or the vehicle, particularly in the Cambrian Road and Telford Line area.
Call the OPP or Crime Stoppers if you have a clue.
