We have our first confirmed case of West Nile in Simcoe Muskoka.
A mosquito pool in Bradford-West Gwillimbury has tested positive for the virus.
The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is continuing to monitor the area throughout Simcoe Muskoka.
In the meantime, they are reminding people to protect themselves from mosquito bites by using approved insect repellant, wearing light-coloured clothing, and removing standing water.
