Huronia West OPP are looking into a case of mischief in Springwater Township.
Police say that very early on Monday morning, someone entered Currie Truck Centre in a white Ford cube van.
Investigators say the suspect approached a brand new Freightliner black dump truck and smashed the front passenger side window to get into the vehicle.
The truck's dashboard and panels, as well as the ignition switch, were removed in an attempt to hot wire the vehicle.
The attempt failed.
