Several campers out on Lake Simcoe were caught in the middle of heavy rain and hail.
Orillia OPP, Orillia Fire, and Ramara Fire were called to McCrae Park Thursday just after 12 Noon.
14 attending the Youth Leadership Camps of Canada were out paddling on the lake in a canoe when the weather began to turn and the canoe quickly began to take on water.
The weight of the rain water caused the canoe to sink and everyone on board ended up in the water.
All the students and the camp councillor were wearing lifejackets.
Simcoe County paramedics were also at the scene as a precaution to assess the youth.
