Barrie Police are warning residents about a potential scam.
People claiming to be from the Terry Fox Run have been going door-to-door asking for money.
The suspects are white males using expired health cards as identification, and pledge forms that have been downloaded and printed from the internet.
The Chair of the Barrie Terry Fox Run Michael F. McDougall said in a statement that no volunteer/participant seeks out cash donations by going door- to-door.
Investigators say no has come forward claiming they were scammed but are asking anyone who may be a victim to contact Barrie Police or the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
