A Quebec man will spend a year-and-a-half in prison for sexually assaulting a woman who later committed suicide.
A judge in a Barrie court handed down the 18-month sentence to Shawn Roy.
The 39-year-old was convicted in February of sexually assaulting 20-year-old Barrie resident Kassidi Coyle in July of 2016.
Coyle took her own life four months later.
Roy will also serve two years probation.
