Come the New Year, there will be a new person heading up Orillia Power.
Keith McAllister, an electrical engineer working in Toronto, will start his new job Jan. 1 as president and chief executive officer.
The electric utility’s current president and chief executive officer, John Mattinson, announced his retirement in August.
Mattinson’s retirement is effective Dec. 31.
The incoming president has 15 years’ experience in distribution engineering and five to six years’ experience in generation projects. McAllister has held senior positions with utilities in Ontario, including EnerCare Inc., Enbridge Electric Connections Inc., Peterborough Utilities Services Inc. and the former Ontario Hydro.
