Its a sure sign of Christmas.
The 10 th annual Rotary Festival of Trees officials kicks off this evening at Orillia Square Mall.
Reid Asselstine, media chair of the Rotary Club of Orillia says the event runs from Nov. 16 to 27, and is a way to raise money for the 37 local projects the clubs support.
The Rotary Club of Orillia and Orillia Lake Country both sponsor the event.
Asselstine says over the past 9 years, more than $600,000 has been raised for community projects.. This year’s fundraising goal is $70,000.
In addition to the popular raffle is a fundraising gala at Fern Resort on Friday, Nov. 18.
