Someone has stolen a Stanley Cup ring, that used to belong to the late Harold Ballard of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Members of the Southern Georgian Bay OPP were called to a Tiny Township home on Tuesday, (Nov. 1st) to investigate a theft of jewellery while the home owner was away.
Constable David Hobson says the homeowner is a relative of Harold Ballard and the ring is gold in colour with the Stanley Cup symbolized on the ring face.
It has the four dates during the 1961-67 Toronto Maple Leaf Stanley Cup wins on the sides.
Constable Dobson says Harold Ballard is inscribed on the inside of the ring.
Also taken was a mens Rolex watch from the home.
The watch is described as being gold and silver in colour with a white face model # 16233 and serial # E135721.
