The Canadian Forces Base Borden received the YMCA Peace medallion from The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka.
Colonel Louis Meloche, Base Commander CFB Borden says The peace medallion is a symbol of community involvement and working toward building a more peaceful world.
At any given time Canadian Forces Base Borden has approximately 100 personnel deployed on peacekeeping operations both here in Canada and around the world.
