A 19 year old Orillia male is facing charges following a domestic dispute.
Barrie OPP were called to a Warminster residence to deal with an unwanted family member who was acting violent.
The male was prohibited from being on the property.
Police say when he entered the residence and was asked to leave – he assaulted his 49 year old mother, threatened her, and blocked her from calling for help.
The victims daughter was in the house at the time – she was able to call 9-1-1, which resulted in the suspect fleeing the scene.
The assault victim is being treated for a head injury.
About four hours later the suspect was found and arrested and is now in custody.
