A celebration of small business in Oro Medonte this morning as the mayor and council toasted the small business community at a special breakfast.
Mayor Harry Hughes says the business breakfast was a way for council to thank the small business people for creating and maintaining jobs in the local economy.
He says council has adopted several pro active measures to ensure that local businesses can grow and prosper in Oro Medonte.
Hughes says the lack of development charges in the township is another way of attracting new investment and jobs to the region.
Hughes says there are more than 12 hundred small businesses in the township creating more than 4 thousand jobs.
