Conservative MPP Garfield Dunlop has won a 4th term in the riding of Simcoe North.
Dunlop handily defeated Liberal Candidate Fred Larsen, NDP candidate Doris Middleton, and Green Party candidate Peter Stubbins with over 25 thousand votes.
Dunlop says the overall result points to a thirst for change.
Liberal candidate Fred Larsen says he has learned a lot on his first door-to-door campaign and is looking to put that experience to work once again.
As we are now in a minority government situation – it’s anyone’s guess when the next election will happen.
The Liberals won 53 seats, the Tories 37 and the NDP 17.
