Its time for the trees to change colour and according to Environment Canada Senior climatologist David Phillips we could be in for a grand display.
He say the weather over the spring and summer in the Orillia area has been ideal and that has resulted in trees that have been under very little stress.
Phillips says there has been no sign of the trees turning colour earlier as they do if they have a stressful summer.
As for the weather, he feels once we get past this cold and wet weekend, October should be an excellent month for getting out and checking out the fall colours.
Phillips says it should be a bit warmer than usual and dryer as well, so it should be ideal for viewing the trees.
