A business delegation from Nangtong City, China is hoping to make some business contacts in the Orillia area – and vice versa.
Mayor Angelo Orsi, Councillor Pete Bowen, and representatives from Economic Development, the Chamber of Commerce, Lakehead Universtiy, and Georgian College were on hand to welcome the delegation.
They will be going on a tour of Orillia with stops at the Port and L-U.
Chamber of Commerce Vice President Mark Goode says the local business community is looking to make some connection in the Chinese market.
A representative from the Foreign Affairs department in Nantong City says the hope is gain a better understanding of Canadian business practices and build some solid business relationships.
