Workers at the Simcoe Muskoka district health unit office here in Orillia are in moving mode. they are packing boxes preparing for their move from the West st south location to their new home in the common roof complex.
Health Unit manager of infrastructure Eileen Hartwick says this will make the health unit more accessible.
She says it will allow workers and clients to access other services that will be located in the newly renovated and expanded building.
Hartwick says this new location means clients can walk, bike or take public transit to their appointments and that will help reduce automobile emissions which will help improve the health of people in the community.
The move to the common roof complex will take place the weekend of Sept 30th.
The office will be back open for business on Monday October 3rd.
