Some tough decision coming up in the next several weeks for Simcoe County Council, and they all revolve around the contentious issue of waste reduction and what to do with the trash.
Warden Cal Patterson says they have a deadline because the county s existing land fills have only a few more years of life left.
He says council will be examining several options on what to do with the garbage and one of those options could see the County moving to bi weekly garbage collection.
Patterson says while the trash would be collected every second week, the green bins would be picked up every week.
He says one of the issues he sees is many of the country councillors have not read all of the consultants reports and recommendations dealing with waste reduction.
Patterson hopes they will get up to speed soon so they can make an informed decision on future waste management options.
