Orillia OPP have laid charges against an Orillia driver after a pedestrian was struck and killed on June 5 at the intersection of Front and Coldwater streets.
Two Orillia women were crossing the street when they were struck by a vehicle making a left hand turn from Front Street on to Coldwater Street.
Debra Young, 56, died as a result of collision and 90-year-old Eileen Hewitt was seriously injured.
The driver of the motor vehicle, 41 year old In Soon Mun of Orillia, was issued a summons on Sept. 14. She has been charged with Failing to Yield to a Pedestrian under the Highway Traffic Act and will appear in provincial court on Nov. 8.
