Efforts are underway to raise money for the next habitat for humanity build in the Orillia area.
The group is planning to build two homes next year in Brechin and build co ordinator Carol Sharpe says they are now working on organizing the build.
She admits there is a lot of work to do before a shovel can go into the ground.
Sharpe says they are now interviewing families who could become potential homeowners and lining up volunteers to help with the construction and providing food and other services for those working on the project.
Sharpe says they need to raise about 220 thousand dollars before a shovel can go in the ground.
She is hoping construction can begin in either May or June of next year.
Sharpe says they have also launched a special fund raising campaign called the square food program.
She says that is where a donation of 100 dollars will fund one square food of the new home.
