If you like to watch powerful boats then the Port of Orillia is the place to be Saturday morning.
The Performance Boat club of Canada holding another of its fund raising events with a run from Orillia to Barrie to raise money for the Canadian Diabetes Association.
Club President Carl McBride says they will leave Orillia around 10 in the morning, and return by 4 pm.
He says while these high performance vessels can reach speeds in excess of 100 miles an hour the whole purpose of this run is not speed, but raising money for charity.
McBride says they co ordinate their runs with the OPP and other police agencies to ensure everything is done in a safe manner. He says since 2008 the club has raised more than 300 thousand dollars for various charities in southern Ontario.
