Orillia and area residents soon will get a chance to sink their teeth into some quality locally grown food.
The fourth annual Savour Simcoe local food event will be getting underway in just over one weeks time at the Simcoe County Museum
Sandra Trainor is the Executive Director of Simcoe County Farm Fresh, the organizer of the event that brings together local chefs and farmers to create made in Simcoe county dishes.
Trainor says this event is also a good way for consumers to connect with farmers and understand how important it is to support local produce and the local agricultural economy.
She says meeting local farmers is a good way for urban residents to understand how important it is to keep the agricultural community viable.
The Savour Simcoe event takes place August 28 th at the Simcoe County Museum, just north of Barrie
