One person is dead and another injured following a two vehicle head on collission last evening just south of Rama.
Orillia OPP report the collision occurred on Rama Road, approximately 1 km north of the Monck Road, just south of Rama.
Police say it appears the male driver of the southbound vehicle crossed over the centre line striking a northbound vehicle head on.
He was air lifted to St. Michaels hospital in Toronto and is reported to have non life threatening injuries.
The male driver is 27 years old and is from Cobourg Ontario.
The driver of the northbound vehicle was a 23 year old female from Sharon .
She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Her female passenger who is also 23 years of age was transported to Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital with non life threatening injuries and has since been released from the hospital. She is from Newmarket
Charges are pending.
Police say Once the investigation is complete, names of the people involved will be released.
