Saturday in the Park in Washago will see a lot of singing and laughing and perhaps even a man selling ice cream.
Centennial Park will be the scene of this weekends Raising the Roof Music Festival.
Festival co chair Ellen Cohen says what makes this music festival different from others is the family atmosphere of the event.
She says the gates open at 10 Saturday morning and the first acts will hit the stage around 11.
Cohen says after the final act in the evening there will be a great fireworks display starting around 9.45.
Dan Crowley says they have put together a number of different musical acts from around Orillia, Washago and Bracebridge.
He says people will experience everything from rock to country, blues, and Irish.
In addition they have put together a large children’s play area as well.
The Washago Music festival will feature two stages, the main stage and the beer tent stage.
In addition there will be numerous food vendors on site as well.
Rod Harth is with the Rotary Club of Washago and says funds from this event will go towards putting a roof over the villages outdoor ice surface.
