Members of the Regional Tourism Organization Seven gathered at OslerBrook Golf & Country Club to give a sneak peek of their new website.
The free-to-use website is scheduled to launch on August 15th and Chair of RTO7 Paul Crysler knows it will be well received by area businesses.
The website will feature thousands of photos and reports connected to regions via Geo-mapping using a google maps like interface.
Executive Director of RTO7 Jeff Schmidt says the website’s content will be a priceless resource to both the
organization and the hundreds of tourism businesses in the area.
The website will not be open to the public at this time, but Schmidt says that over the next year RTO7 will release a more consumer friendly version of the
site.
The group is also working on other more tangible plans, including pilot programs that will introduce and test more touring friendly road signage
in the towns of Thornbury, Sauble Beach, and Penetanguishene.
The RTO7 is comprised of Bruce, Grey, and Simcoe
Counties.
