Orillia’s common roof project is just a few weeks away from completion.
The $3.5-million, 36,000-square-foot retrofit of the former Home Hardware building at 169 Front St. is almost finished and according to Co ordinator Laurie Hurd, tenants will be moving in shortly.
Hurd says having various social agencies and non-profit organizations housed in one building — sharing space such as meeting rooms, reception area and a photocopier — will save each organization money that will ultimately go back to helping clients.
Hurd says that the “one-stop shop” will help clients navigate the system more easily and provide them with additional resources.
