The Simcoe North Liberals now officially have their candidate for the October 6th Provincial election.
Fred Larson was acclaimed to the position at Wednesday’s nomination meeting that took place at the Stephen Leacock home here in Orillia.
About 50 people attended the meeting.
Larson admits it will be an uphill battle to try and defeat the incumbent, Conservative MPP Garfield Dunlop.
He says a after seven decades of a conservative being elected in Simcoe north, its time for a change.
Larson also predicts the campaign will be a civil one in this riding and there will be none of the attack ads that already have begun at the leaders level.
