Two people were charged with drinking and driving last night in Collingwood.
The first incident happened around 10pm, when police witnessed a car being driven in a suspicious manner and stopped the vehicle. 51-year old Ruth Aggiss of Aurora has been charged with impaired driving and will appear in court in Collingwood on August 18th.
The second impaired driver was found around 2am this morning as he attempted to avoid a RIDE check-stop. The man was stopped and is facing charges of impaired driving. 30-year old Stefane Champagne will appear in Collingwood court on August 23rd.
During the check-stop, another man was found to be within the warn range…and had his license suspended for 3 days.
