One person really is singing the praises of Orillia.
Local songwriter Steve Van Kessel is proud to call Orillia home. I
In fact, the second-generation Orillian is so enamoured with his hometown, he penned a song about the Sunshine City.
The city is now using the song in promotional advertising being broadcast on area TV stations.
Economic Development Manager Dan Landry says the song was produced professionally and is a positive way to show off Orillia’s assets.
Landry says the song also has been made into a video with Van Kessell singing the tune at various Orillia landmarks.
That video has now been posted on You tube and the city is already getting positive feedback.
