OPP have made an arrest following several incidents of the discovery of human remains. The first two incidents were on May 22nd of last year.
The first discovery was on Valleywoods Drive in the Sugarbush area of Oro-Medonte Township and later that afternoon more remains were discovered on Maplehurst Road in Lake of Bays Township.
After post mortem examinations and toxicology texting it was determined that both of these human remains were in fact from the same person.
Then on May 28th, additional human remains were found on the shoulder of Stoneleigh Road south of Muskoka Road 117, between Bracebridge and Baysville. And these remains belonged to the remains found 6 days earlier.
As a result on the ongoing investigation OPP have made an arrest in the murder and dismemberment of 45-year old Morris Conte.
Yesterday police arrest 27-year old Savario Lucia Jr. formerly of Bolton. Lucia faces charges of Accessory After the Fact to Murder and Causing an Indignity to a Human Body. He is being held in custody pending a bail hearing today in Orangeville.
The invesitagtion continues and police are confident they will find all responsible for the murder and dismemberment.
