The President of One of Orillia’s Rotary Clubs looking forward to taking part in a pilot project that will help people with disabilities find employment.
Nancy Cornwell says the Employment Ontario Project is a perfect fit for the club as it fits well with the principles of Rotary.
She says Rotary is here to support members of the community in any way they can and by mentoring a person with a disability to help them find work would be a very positive enterprise.
Cornwell says many people in the community have so called invisible disabilities that people may not notice, so its important to reach out and help them overcome these obstacles.
She says the club will be talking about getting involved in this mentoring initiative and expects a major launch of the program at their district convention this September.
