A free workshop for people who use a private well for drinking water and household use, is taking place tomorrow, here in Orillia. The workshop is being held to teach people how to maintain and protect a safe water supply.
Michelle Hudolin, with Severn Sound Environmental Association, who is putting on the workshop, says the “Well Aware” workshop will take place at McCabes Private Dining Room, at the Highwayman Inn, 201 Woodside Drive, from 9am to noon Saturday.
Hudolin says the first 30 residents of the Bass Lake area who register for the workshop will receive a workbook to help you identify potential risks to well water, as well as a half-hour home visit for an assessment an recommendations on well and septic systems.that some resident who attend the workshop will receive some bonus items.
