Mariposa Folk Festival is presenting a free concert on Thursday evening as a prelude to the festival taking place this weekend.
After the concert, there will be an open mike. The general public is invited, and encouraged to bring their instruments and their voice.
The concert will feature Mike Celia and Kirsten Scholte, who will also perform on the weekend at Mariposa Folk Festival, which starts Friday afternoon and runs through to Sunday evening.
The concert and open mike will take place on the Hootenanny Stage in the festival’s audience camping area, at Burl’s Creek Family Event Park at 134 Line 8 South, Oro Medonte (just off Highway 11), from 8-10 p.m., on Thursday,
