The “Fighting for a Cure” Team United Poker Run goes this weekend in Orillia.
The event is put on by the Performance Boat Club of Canada with this years proceeds going to a family member of one of the boat club members who is fighting stage four esophogus cancer.
Boat Club President Carl McBride says the event gets underway tomorrow morning (SAT) and will feature many different kinds of power boats of all shapes and sizes.
McBride says the Performance Boat Club of Canada has been very successful in previous events having raised an average of $7500 to $10,000.
The event runs all day Saturday and finished with a dinner and silent auction at 16 Front Restaurant.
