Representatives from the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games organizing committee paid a visit to Oro Medonte.
The mountain biking portion of the games will be held at Hardwood Ski and Bike – something expected to have plenty of spin-off benefits for Oro Medonte.
Senior Vice President of the Pan American Games Organizing Committee Bob O’Doherty made a presentation to members of Oro Medonte council and local community groups and businesses.
He expects big economic benefits for the township due to the flow of athletes and spectators expected to attend the games.
O’Doherty says roughly a million people will descend on Southern Ontario for the 2015 Pan American Games with Toronto being the host city.
