With all the rain we’ve been having and what’s forecast over the next few days, the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority is warning that the rain combined with saturated soil conditions could result in considerable runoff. While widespread flooding is not expected, there may be some water in low-lying areas.
The rain could also cause higher flows in rivers and streams, making for dangerous flow conditions, especially in the areas of culverts and bridges.
