High Gas prices on the minds of not just consumers but politicians as well.
Ontario’s Finance Minister Dwight Duncan says that the almost record high gasoline prices is a concern.
Speaking in Orillia to the Rotary Club Duncan says he is glad that the Federal Government is going to take a close look at the soaring price of fuel and why its going up so quickly.
Meanwhile, Duncan delivered a positive message about Ontario’s Economy saying the economy has recovered more than all of the jobs lost at the begriming of the recession.
The Finance Minister also told the audience the government is always trying to address the challenges facing the province and is moving to provide new services for the people of the province, especially new addiction and mental health services for children and risk management plans for agriculture.
Duncan defended the Liberal government’s implementation of the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) and plans for green energy.
Duncan also told the rotary club here in Orillia, that Progressive Conservative Leader Tim Hudak’s proposal to scrap the province’s deal with Samsung would hurt the economy.
