Nearly 30 people showed up to plant trees on Saturday in Scout Valley, according to the Packet & Times.
Some 300 trees native to Ontario…which were all supplied by Trees Ontario and CAA South Central Ontario…were planted as part of Trees Ontario’s third annual planting weekend. Similar events also took place in Kitchener-Waterloo, Kingston, Owen Sound and Windsor.
Trees Ontario’s goal is to plant 3 million trees this year and, by 2015, to support the planting of 10 million trees per year
