Planning underway for one of the major fundraiser for Orillia’s Soldiers Memorial Hospital.
The annual Hawk Ridge Hospital Classic Golf tournament is set for June 1st.
This year money raised by the tournament goes towards purchasing urgently needed Diagnostic Imaging Equipment.
Hospital Foundation Executive Director Nicole McCahon says this new equipment will enable the hospitals health care professionals to more accurately diagnose and treat a range of illnesses like heart disease and cancer.
Hospital Community Relations Director Terry Dyni says there is a long list of equipment that has to be upgraded and Imaging equipment is at the top of that list.
The Hawk Ridge Hospital Classic has raised more than 1.4 million dollars for the Hospital foundation over the past 13 years.
