The City of Orillia and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers union IBEW have come to a two-year agreement, according to the Packet & Times.
The public works department’s outside bargaining unit has been without a contract since the end of September. Salaries will increase by 2.4 percent annually and council has made the decision to increase that every six months rather than yearly. so 1.2 percent every 6 months until 2013.
There are 48 full-time members of the IBEW public works employee group.
