The Elmvale couple slain in a gruesome double homicide have been laid to rest.
Well over one hundred people attended the funeral for 53 year old Donald White and his 51 year old wife Lauredith at St Andrews Presbyterian Church in Orillia.
The block surrounding the church was filled with cars as mourners filed into the church to pay their respects to a couple who are fondly remembered – and will be sorely missed by those who knew them.
The food store Donald White worked for was closed so that employees could attend the funeral.
Many of White’s co-workers wore their uniforms to the service.
The couple had been married for 30 years.
They were found shot to death in their home near Elmvale on March 27th.
Their son – 26 year old Gregory White – is facing charges of two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of indecently interfering with a human body.
He made a video appearance in court on Monday – his case is adjourned until April 18th.
