The Sharing Place Food Bank in Orillia is receiving a generous donation this week of 1,871.7 pounds of food.
Employees from Casino Rama have donated hundreds of pounds of nutritious food.
Each pound of donated food represents a pound of personal weight lost by a staff member from Casino Rama.
The CREW recently took part in a Pound4Pound weight-loss challenge, where the CREW member loses the weight, and the Casino purchases and donates the food on the staffers’ behalf.
The Sharing Place will receive a total of 1,871.7 pounds of food, meaning that Pound4Pound participants dropped precisely that amount of weight.
The delivery will be made to the food bank tomorrow, Thursday, morning.
