The Orillia Community Foundations has nearly $20,000 available for community groups, and all you have to do is ask.
But you’ll need to ask soon, the Foundation will be accepting grant applications only until April 1st.
There are two funding categories available this season, the Community Unrestricted Fund and the Ontario Endowment for Youth and Children in Recreation.
Executive Director of the Foundation, Marilyn de Lang says funds will be given to programs and organizations that are registered charities or qualified donees as defined by the CRA.
Groups in Orillia Ramara Township, Chippewas of Rama First Nation, Severn Township and a portion of Oro-Medonte can apply.
There are also two scholarships available for grade 12 students planning on continuing their education, the Tom Parish Scholarship Fund and the Orillia Y’s Men Scholastic Award.
