Orillia council is moving forward to resrict parking on Mackenzie Street to try and ease some of the congestion between Harvey and Mississaga streets.

Councillor Paul Spears says eliminating parking on the east side of the street and limiting it on the west should help residents.
Parking on the west side of the street now will be limited to just two hours at a time.
Spears also is not cocnerned about any additional costs for by law officers enforcing the two hour parking limit. He says the officers would only visit the area after they receive a complaint from a resident.
